Communication that has stopped working. Affair recovery. Pre-marital. Gottman-method backbone, with the right tool for the room. Goals are made in the first session. Most couples can name the pattern by session three.

The presenting issue is rarely the real issue. Pick the door that fits where you are today. The rest sorts itself out once we are in the room.

Helping parents and children navigate lives full of change. Rebuilding connections, changing communication patterns, and developing fun and positive rituals.
Do you feel stuck? Do you feel like there is more to life? Anxiety. Transitions. Identity. Career. Forward-looking, goal-oriented, with the clinical grounding underneath when you need it.
You want to know what you're getting yourself into. Here's what to expect in the beginning, middle, and near the end of therapy.
I get to know your world. What's the part you play in your own story? When did the problem first show itself? What have you tried so far?
Here we are, accomplishing new heights. I act as a guide nudging you in new, different directions towards new growth.
As you accomplish goals and new heights, we discuss the next steps - whether that's changing appointment frequency, new directions or bidding farewell. My door will always be open.
I see you as the main character and the hero of your own story.

Before you book, get a sense of who is on the other side of the room. The single best predictor of whether therapy works is whether you feel comfortable with the person across from you.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Murray, Utah, licensed in Utah and Virginia, with seven-plus years in active practice. I help people find the light to illuminate the better path forward, helping them make right and healthy choices. When appropriate, I utilize humor and make sure you leave with a smile on your face and a heart filled with hope. If you are comfortable, I invite my dog, Joey to help you feel grounded and calm in session.
My work is Gottman-trained and grounded in attachment theory — with the right modality picked for the room you're in, not the other way around.
Most people who call me are not sure they should be calling. Here is what I hear most, and what I usually say back.
Usually that means the conversation has been about the surface issue. Once we identify the pattern underneath, the work gets traction. Most couples notice a shift in the first three to five sessions.
You start with a phone call. We start from the beginning -wherever that is for you. There is no rush. It is all at your pace.
Let's find out if it's for you! Therapy does not require something being wrong with you. My clients are competent people handling difficult life situations and appreciate a steadier room to think in. That is the whole offer.
You don't need to be. If one partner is willing and the other is hesitant, that is a workable starting point. We can structure the first session around exactly that tension.
You will not, until we talk. That is what the free 15-minute consult is for. If we are not a fit, I will tell you, and I will point you toward someone who is.
The first step is a free 15-minute call. No pressure, no paperwork. Just a real conversation about whether we are a fit.
