Therapy across Utah and Virginia
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in both Utah and Virginia. That means I can work with anyone who is physically located in either state at the time of our session — whether we meet in my Murray office or over secure video from your living room.
Utah
Telehealth sessions are available in Utah. In the near future, n-person sessions will be held in Murray, Utah, just south of Salt Lake City and easy to reach from most of the valley. If getting across town is the thing standing between you and therapy, we can meet by video instead — telehealth is available anywhere in the state.
Common areas served include the Salt Lake Valley, Utah County, Davis and Weber counties, Summit County, and southern Utah.
Virginia
Virginia clients are seen entirely by secure video. There is no in-person office in Virginia, and for most people that turns out to be a feature rather than a compromise — no commute, no waiting room, and sessions that fit into a real workday.
I work with individuals, couples, and families throughout the Commonwealth, from Northern Virginia and Richmond to Hampton Roads and the Shenandoah Valley.
Same work, different room
Virginia sessions use the same approach, the same structure, and the same between-session practice as in-person work in Utah.
How telehealth works
- Sessions run 50 or 90 minutes over a secure, private video link. No app to buy, no account to create.
- Most people start weekly. That is where I see the most progress happen, and we space sessions out as things steady.
- All you need is a private space and a stable connection. A parked car counts more often than you would think.
- Couples and families can join from the same room or from two different ones — both work.
A note on licensing: state law ties therapy to where you are sitting, not where you live. You need to be physically located in Utah or Virginia during your appointment. If you travel between states often, tell me during the consult and we will plan around it. Questions about scheduling or fit are welcome on the contact page.
