Marriage Preparation Intensive in Salt Lake City, UT

Marriage Preparation Intensive

Build a strong foundation before you say I do.

Preparing for marriage is about more than the wedding. These intensives help you talk through expectations, values, and the realities of life together so you can start your marriage with clarity and confidence.

What we'll work on:

  • Exploring expectations around roles, money, family, and faith
  • Understanding how each of you handles conflict
  • Discussing children, careers, and long-term goals
  • Strengthening friendship and connection

You'll leave with:

  • Clear agreements on the topics that matter most
  • Skills to navigate challenges as they come

Best for: Engaged couples, or couples considering marriage, who want to start on solid ground.

My Approach for Marriage Preparation

I am so excited to work with you!  I know your relationship is likely in a rough spot right now and you are feeling so many different emotions.  I am here for you and I am invested in helping you find a path forward - whether that is together or otherwise.  Every intensive starts with careful preparation: a couples consultation, individual meetings with each partner, and questionnaires. This helps me understand your relationship, your families and your hopes for marriage before we begin.

We will go at your pace. Using Gottman-informed premarital counseling methods, we talk through expectations around money, family, faith and roles, practice handling conflict well, and build the friendship that carries a marriage. You'll leave with clear agreements and practical tools for the years ahead.
