Rebuilding Intimacy Intensive in Salt Lake City, UT

Rebuilding Intimacy Intensive

When closeness has faded, it can feel like you are living as roommates. These intensives give you focused time to understand what pulled you apart and to rebuild emotional and physical connection at a pace that feels safe for both of you. Whether you're facing a lack of intimacy in marriage or a slow drift toward a sexless marriage, intimacy counseling can help you feel close again. Many couples are surprised how quickly emotional intimacy returns once they have uninterrupted time together.

Here's some reasons you could benefit from a Rebuilding Intimacy Intensive

Distance between partners usually builds slowly, and weekly sessions can make it hard to get underneath it. A focused marriage intensive lets you work through intimacy issues in marriage without a week-long gap between conversations. An intensive may be a good fit if any of these sound familiar:

  • You feel disconnected and more like roommates than partners
  • You're in a sexless or low-intimacy season and don't know how to talk about it
  • Conversations about desire and needs turn into hurt or avoidance
  • Old hurts keep getting in the way of closeness
  • You want to rekindle closeness before the distance grows

Rebuilding Intimacy Intensives in Salt Lake City, UT can help!

Our rebuilding intimacy intensives give you dedicated, private time to understand what pulled you apart and to rebuild emotional and physical connection. Choose the length that best fits your relationship. Each couples intensive combines intimacy therapy with practical exercises that help you rebuild intimacy in your relationship. Couples in Salt Lake City often choose this format when weekly sessions haven't been enough.

Benefits of a Rebuilding Intimacy Intensive

Focused time makes room for conversations that are hard to start at home. Couples leave with a shared language for intimacy and practical steps to keep reconnecting at home, so the progress continues after the intensive ends. Many couples report feeling more desired, more understood and more comfortable talking about sex and affection. Rebuilding intimacy becomes something you do together, not a topic you avoid.

My Approach for Rebuilding Intimacy

I am so happy to work with you!  Your relationship is important to you - otherwise you wouldn't be here.  Your relationship has been missing its spark for a while and yet you still care so much about your partner.  You can now experience the closeness you have been missing! I am a newcomer to your relationship, so every intensive starts with careful preparation: a couples consultation, individual meetings with each partner, and questionnaires, so our time together goes to what matters most. I am a newcomer to your relationship, so this preparation helps me understand the history of your relationship and any intimacy issues before the intensive begins. It also means you can start the work right away, without spending hours on background.

We will go at your pace. Together we work on understanding what has created distance, talking openly about desire, needs, and boundaries, repairing the hurts that block closeness, and rebuilding affection, touch, and emotional safety at a pace that feels safe for both of you.
