Rebuilding Intimacy Intensive in Salt Lake City, UT

Two-Day Intensive

Two-Day Rebuilding Intimacy Intensive

10 hours total | $3,750 per couple

The distance between you has grown over time.

Understand the disconnection and rebuild closeness.

A couple during a two-day rebuilding intimacy intensive session

Rebuilding intimacy involves more than scheduling time together. It means understanding what created distance, healing the hurts along the way, and building new patterns of closeness. For couples facing a lack of intimacy in marriage, the distance often has layers: unspoken hurts, busy schedules and fear of rejection. Thoughtful intimacy counseling helps you name those layers so closeness can grow again.

The two-day intensive gives you time to explore those roots first and then practice reconnection. Spreading the work across two days gives you time to rest, reflect and come back ready to go deeper. Many couples find this two-day marriage intensive helps them move from understanding the problem to actually feeling close again.

Day One: Understanding the Distance

  • Explore how emotional and physical intimacy have changed over time.
  • Identify barriers to closeness, including stress, resentment, and avoidance.
  • Understand desire differences and each partner's experience.
  • Address unresolved hurts that make vulnerability feel unsafe.

Day Two: Rebuilding Connection

  • Practice vulnerable conversations about needs and wants.
  • Develop rituals of connection that fit your life.
  • Explore a pace for physical intimacy that feels safe for both partners.
  • Create a personalized reconnection plan for continued growth.

You'll rebuild emotional and physical closeness

You'll leave with: A deeper understanding of each other's needs, practiced skills for vulnerable conversations, and a clear reconnection plan. Many couples leave feeling more emotionally connected, more desired and more at ease with each other. You'll have practical ways to restore emotional intimacy and to talk about sex and affection without pressure or blame.

Best for: Couples committed to rebuilding emotional and physical closeness after a period of distance. It's a strong fit if you're living in a sexless marriage, if you feel like roommates, or if past attempts to reconnect haven't lasted. Couples looking for intimacy therapy in Salt Lake City often choose this length for deeper, lasting change.

My Approach for Rebuilding Intimacy

I am so happy to work with you!  Your relationship is important to you - otherwise you wouldn't be here.  Your relationship has been missing its spark for a while and yet you still care so much about your partner.  You can now experience the closeness you have been missing! I am a newcomer to your relationship, so every intensive starts with careful preparation: a couples consultation, individual meetings with each partner, and questionnaires, so our time together goes to what matters most. I am a newcomer to your relationship, so this preparation helps me understand the history of your relationship and any intimacy issues before the intensive begins. It also means you can start the work right away, without spending hours on background.

We will go at your pace. Together we work on understanding what has created distance, talking openly about desire, needs, and boundaries, repairing the hurts that block closeness, and rebuilding affection, touch, and emotional safety at a pace that feels safe for both of you.
