Communication Improvement Intensive in Salt Lake City, UT
Two-Day Intensive

10 hours total | $3,750 per couple
The same conflicts have been building for years.
Move from reacting to understanding.

Communication problems are rarely just about words. They are shaped by old hurts, attachment fears, and patterns each partner brings into the relationship. When poor communication in marriage has gone on for years, the same arguments can start to feel impossible to escape. Couples communication work helps you see what is really happening underneath the conflict so you can respond to each other differently.
The two-day intensive gives you time to understand those roots on the first day and to practice new skills and repair on the second. This two-day marriage intensive moves at a steadier pace than a single day, with room to rest, reflect and return to the hardest conversations with fresh eyes. You'll practice communication exercises for couples with guidance, so new habits feel natural before you head home.
Day One: Understanding the Pattern
- Explore your conflict cycle and the emotions that drive it.
- Identify attachment-related fears and unmet needs.
- Name the unresolved hurts that keep resurfacing in arguments.
- Learn tools to manage emotional overwhelm during conversations.
Day Two: Practicing Connection
- Practice structured dialogue on the topics that matter most.
- Work through repair conversations for past injuries.
- Develop ways to ask for what you need without criticism.
- Create a personalized communication plan for continued growth.
You'll learn to understand each other again
You'll leave with: A deeper understanding of each other, practiced repair skills, and a clear plan for keeping communication on track. Many couples leave feeling calmer, more patient and more like a team. You'll have conflict resolution skills you can use at home and a shared way to repair after hard moments before they turn into distance.
Best for: Couples ready to address long-standing communication problems and build lasting new habits. It's a strong fit if communication problems in your relationship have lasted for years, small disagreements keep turning into big fights, or weekly marriage counseling hasn't created the change you hoped for. It also works well for couples seeking couples therapy in Salt Lake City who want deeper work in a short time.
My Approach for Improving Communication
I am excited to work with you! I am a big believer in change, especially in relationships. Your relationship isn't perfect and that's OK! There can be some beauty in that. I love helping you implement new skills and tactics to bring the spark back and see your partner in a new light. I am a newcomer to your relationship, so every intensive starts with careful preparation: a couples consultation, individual meetings with each partner, and questionnaires, so our time together goes to what matters most.
We will go at your pace. Using Gottman-informed couples therapy methods, we slow down your conflict cycle, practice listening so each partner feels heard, and learn how to repair after hard conversations. You'll leave with practical tools and a plan for the weeks ahead.
